About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Paralegal to support our client’s legal practice, which specializes in Corporate Law, Employee Compensation and Benefits, Business Succession, Estate Planning and Probate, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Tax Law. This role requires an individual with a solid understanding of U.S. legal systems, excellent research and organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple active cases efficiently.
Experience working with a U.S.-based law firm is highly preferred.
What you’ll be doing:
- Support attorneys with legal research, case development, and document drafting.
- Prepare legal documents including pleadings, contracts, discovery materials, and settlement agreements.
- Organize and manage case files from intake to resolution.
- Track case-related deadlines, court filings, and other critical dates.
- Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, and third-party service providers.
- Assist in preparing trial binders, exhibits, and witness lists.
- Review and summarize financial statements, contracts, and other legal or corporate records.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal procedures and filing requirements.
- Maintain accurate data in case management systems.
Who are we looking for?
- 3+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm, preferably in areas such as corporate law, tax, estate planning, or M&A.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. legal terminology and court systems.
- Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases.
- Proficient in legal software (e.g., SmartAdvocate, Clio, TrialWorks, or similar).
- Fluency in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Highly organized, proactive, and capable of working independently or collaboratively.
